ABOUT CLICKSCENE
The team at CLICKSCENE have been creating compelling custom-built websites and online applications since 2004, primarily serving small to medium-sized businesses and the self-employed.
Next came CLICKSCENE itself, which was set up with the aim of bringing together everything that had been learned whilst setting up and promoting clickevents and to offer these services to other website owners and prospective start-ups and online businesses.
Our next project was the creation of an innovative car insurance price comparison website, called cheapercover.com. Developed in conjunction with a leading UK car insurer, CLICKSCENE founder Andy Willis spent three years working with the company at Director level before returning full time to CLICKSCENE at the beginning of 2010.
But what makes CLICKSCENE stand out from the crowd in the ultra-competitive web design marketplace is that as well as designing sites for countless clients - the company's founders have also launched and managed several groundbreaking Internet businesses themselves. This unique insight into marketing and promoting websites, and our track record of generating hundreds of thousands of pounds in online sales, has made CLICKSCENE a very different proposition to typical web design companies.
Our success story started in 2002 with the creation of www.clickevents.co.uk. This was our first serious online venture and this site created a community of people that were interested in trading stocks and shares. It brought them together with professional traders around the world through a series of online and 'bricks & mortar' seminars. The business was very successful, grew quickly and was sold to its new owner within just 11 months.
Next came CLICKSCENE itself, which was set up with the aim of bringing together everything that had been learned whilst setting up and promoting clickevents and to offer these services to other website owners and prospective start-ups and online businesses.At the same time as clickscene.com was established - we also launched www.consumabulbs.com, an ecommerce website selling standard replacement bulbs for cars - as well as brighter light and blue tint upgrades. This was also a big success and grew quickly before being sold in 2007. Despite increasing competition, the website still holds many of the top positions on the search engines that were gained in those first few years.
Our next project was the creation of an innovative car insurance price comparison website, called cheapercover.com. Developed in conjunction with a leading UK car insurer, CLICKSCENE founder Andy Willis spent three years working with the company at Director level before returning full time to CLICKSCENE at the beginning of 2010.The experience he gained while setting up and running these three large web businesses has meant that CLICKSCENE has the sort of top-level business credentials not normally available to small and medium sized businesses.
CLICKSCENE is currently focusing on two innovative new projects:
- The development of our website improvement system. This carries out various checks on your website and makes suggestions for improvement. Launched in February 2011, you can read more about this here.
- Our website transformation service. This is where we take an in-depth look at your website and its presence around the Internet and make detailed recommendations for increasing its turnover and profitability.
